Greek School Information

The Greek school offers classes in modern Greek from Pre-K to Adults as well as a New Testament Greek Class.

All classes take a break during Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years as well as Holy Week and Pascha.

Youth Classes:

Youth classes are offered every Thursday evening from 5-7 pm starting the second week of September continuing through the second week of May.

Pre-K class meets from 5-6 pm September thru December and from 5:30-6:30 pm from January thru May.

The curriculum of the school focuses on the fundamentals of the Greek language. It gives the students the ability to learn how to converse, read and write at a beginner’s level.

The Greek Orthodox Faith and Hellenic culture are incorporated throughout the year whenever possible. This includes learning about OXI day, the Kalanda (Greek Christmas Carols for Christmas, New Year and Epiphany), Three Hierarchs, Tsiknopempti, Greek Independence Day/Annunciation, Lazarakia, Pascha and Greek dancing.

Tuition and Fees*

Youth Classes

$450 per year for Stewards of Holy Trinity for the first student and $50 off for each additional student within the same family.

$700 per year for non-Stewards of Holy Trinity and $50 off for each additional student.

Pre-K class

$350 per year for Stewards

$650 per year for non-Stewards.

*Tuition includes books and basic student supplies (notebook and a folder). We use both books from the Papaloizos publications including an online learning platform and from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

Note: After the first 2 weeks there is a $100 non-refundable fee to cover the books and supplies. After 4 weeks there are no refunds.

New Testament Greek Class

In this class participants learn the fundamental of Koine Greek grammar and the application of grammar and vocabulary to reading selected sections of the New Testament. The main goal of the class is to read supported selections of the New Testament by the end of the course.

Classes take place at Holy Trinity Cathedral educational wing on Thursday evenings starting the third week of September and continue through the second week of May from 5:30-6:30 pm.

Tuition for the class is $350 for the year.

Adult Greek Language Classes:

Adult weekly Zoom classes are offered on Wednesday evenings from 6 - 7:15pm (Beginners 1) and 7:30 - 8:45pm (Beginners 2). These classes typically start on the first Wednesday of October and continue until the third week of May. During Lent the classes are moved to Thursday evenings to accommodate Lenten services. 

Classes are open to anyone who wants to learn how to communicate in modern Greek language. In this class students develop basic skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening through the teacher’s presentations. The Greek culture and Orthodox Christian Faith are incorporated in the curriculum throughout the year.

Note: After the first week there is a $100 nonrefundable fee. After 4 weeks there is no refund.
